RobinReturn documentation
How RobinReturn helps UK businesses recover unpaid B2B invoices — from polite reminders through a Letter Before Action to a county court claim.
RobinReturn helps UK businesses recover unpaid B2B invoices of between £100 and £10,000. It guides you through a clear sequence — polite reminders, a Letter Before Action, and, if it comes to it, a county court claim — and drafts the documents for each step so you can act quickly and at a predictable cost.
Who RobinReturn is for
RobinReturn is built for businesses chasing money owed by other businesses (B2B). Typical users are freelancers, agencies, contractors, wholesalers and the finance teams who support them. It is not for consumer (B2C) debts.
How recovery works
Recovery follows a deliberate escalation. You stay in control at every step and only pay for the actions you take.
Polite reminders
A short series of reminders nudges the debtor to pay before things become formal. Most invoices are settled at this stage.
Letter Before Action (LBA)
If reminders do not work, a Letter Before Action sets out the debt and gives the debtor a final opportunity to pay — usually within 14 days — before a court claim. RobinReturn's templates are solicitor-drafted.
County court claim
If the debt is still unpaid, RobinReturn prepares the court documents (an N1 claim form and particulars of claim) and guides you through filing them yourself through Money Claim Online (MCOL).
RobinReturn's scope ends at judgment. There is no enforcement stage — recovering money after a judgment is separate and is handled by you.
What it costs
You pay per action, not by subscription. The RobinReturn fees are flat and shown before you commit:
| Action | RobinReturn fee (ex VAT) |
|---|---|
| Reminder | £2 |
| Letter Before Action | £9.50 |
| Court documents | £35 |
If you reach the claim stage, the court also charges a separate HMCTS court fee that scales with the claim value (paid to the court, exempt from VAT). See the pricing calculator for the full, up-to-date figures.
Limits
- B2B debts only, from £100 to £10,000.
- England & Wales jurisdiction.
- RobinReturn stops at judgment — it does not enforce judgments.
A note on legal information
RobinReturn is not a law firm and is not a legal representative as understood under CPR 2.3(1). Using RobinReturn does not create a lawyer–client relationship, and nothing in these docs is legal advice. RobinReturn helps you draft the documents needed to pursue a debt claim; decisions about your claim remain yours.
