RobinReturn

FAQ

Answers to common questions about RobinReturn — what it is, what it costs, the legal position, and how recovery works.

What is RobinReturn?

RobinReturn helps UK businesses recover unpaid B2B debts of up to £10,000. It helps you draft the documents for each stage of recovery — a soft reminder, a Letter Before Action and a court claim — quickly and at a predictable, per-action cost.

Is RobinReturn a law firm?

No. RobinReturn is not a law firm, and a lawyer–client relationship does not form between you and RobinReturn.

No. RobinReturn does not give legal advice. It helps you draft the documents needed to pursue a debt claim of up to £10,000; decisions about your claim remain yours.

No. RobinReturn is not a legal representative as understood under CPR 2.3(1).

Who can use RobinReturn?

Businesses recovering money from other businesses (B2B), for debts between £100 and £10,000 in England & Wales. It is not for consumer debts.

What does it cost?

You pay per action, not by subscription: £2 for a reminder, £9.50 for a Letter Before Action and £35 for court documents (all ex VAT). If you reach the claim stage, the court charges a separate HMCTS court fee that scales with the claim value and is exempt from VAT. The pricing calculator shows the full figures before you start.

Are there hidden fees?

No. The only costs are RobinReturn's per-action fees and, if you reach the claim stage, the HMCTS court fee. All are shown upfront before you commit.

Can I recover RobinReturn's fees if I win?

Most RobinReturn claims fall on the small claims track (debts up to £10,000), where recoverable costs are limited. If you win, the court will usually allow the court fee and limited fixed costs to be added to what the debtor pays — but legal and service costs, including RobinReturn's fees, are generally not recoverable on the small claims track. What is awarded is ultimately at the court's discretion.

Does RobinReturn collect the money for me after judgment?

No. RobinReturn takes a case as far as judgment. Enforcing a judgment — collecting the money once it has been awarded — is a separate process you handle yourself.

Are the letters checked by a solicitor?

RobinReturn's letter templates are solicitor-drafted. RobinReturn is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice; you confirm each letter before it is sent.

What if the debtor disputes the debt?

The automated chase pauses so you can deal with it. A genuine dispute is best resolved before a court step — see Disputes.
