One screen. Every case. Every stage.

See exactly where every overdue invoice sits, what’s been sent, and what the debtor said. Each case carries its own audit trail — every reminder, every Letter Before Action, every reply, every receipt.

Add an overdue invoice and every reminder, letter and reply is tracked in one place — from the first polite reminder to a County Court claim. When payment lands, it goes straight to your bank: RobinReturn never collects your money.

Common questions

The three stages, explained.

Practical questions visitors ask when they meet the workflow for the first time. The legal context behind each answer is the same context our templates are written from.

What are the three stages?

Stage I is a polite reminder (£2). Stage II is a Letter Before Action — the formal document that signals you're prepared to escalate (£9.50). Stage III is preparing a small-claim Claim Form for HMCTS, with a flat £35 RobinReturn court-prep fee plus the HMCTS court fee (which scales with the claim value). RobinReturn's workflow closes once the claim is filed and judgment is sought.

How long does each stage typically take?

Stage I: 7–14 days from the reminder. Stage II: the debtor has 30 days to respond to the Letter Before Action (the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims period). Stage III: 8–16 weeks from filing the claim, set by the court. Most B2B disputes settle at Stage I or II without ever reaching court.

Can I skip stages?

You can jump straight to Stage II (Letter Before Action) if the debtor has already ignored your own reminders. We don't recommend skipping straight to a Claim Form — courts increasingly expect a formal letter to be sent first under the Pre-Action Protocol.

What if the debtor disputes the debt?

A genuine dispute pauses the workflow. RobinReturn templates are designed for clear, undisputed debts; if the debtor raises a substantive issue (faulty goods, scope dispute), you should pause and seek legal advice from a solicitor before continuing. We don't draft replies to disputes.

Where does the money go when the debtor pays?

Directly to your bank account. RobinReturn never receives or holds the recovered sum — there is no collection fee or commission. You pay only the per-action fees and any HMCTS court fees, separately.
